Fullerton is a historic city in North Orange County with a rich mix of residential neighborhoods — from early California Craftsman and Spanish Colonial homes in the historic downtown district to post-war tract developments and newer communities. Many of Fullerton's older neighborhoods, including the area around Fullerton College and the downtown arts district, feature homes built in the 1920s–1960s with original plumbing still in place.
Fullerton's historic neighborhoods have the highest concentration of galvanized and early copper pipes in North OC. If your home is pre-1980 and you haven't had a plumbing inspection, you likely have a failing system.
Response within 60 minutes · No obligation
Fullerton's older homes are at the highest risk of plumbing failure. Galvanized pipes common in pre-1970 homes have typically exceeded their 40–50 year lifespan and are corroding internally. Even homes from the 1970s–80s with copper piping are showing signs of age — pinhole leaks, reduced pressure, and slab leaks are increasingly common throughout Fullerton's residential areas.

Most Popular
The modern standard for whole-home repiping. Flexible, durable, and backed by the strongest manufacturer warranty in the industry.

Traditional Option
The tried-and-true choice. Rigid, thick-walled copper that has delivered 50+ years of service in homes across the country.

From the 1970s through the 2000s, most homes in Orange County were built using Type M copper — the builder-grade, budget minimum allowed by California code. Type M has the thinnest wall of any copper pipe grade.
In Orange County's hard water conditions, mineral deposits aggressively attack the inside of Type M pipes. The thin walls deteriorate faster than Type L or Type K — often within 20–30 years rather than 40–50. Pinhole leaks, slab leaks, and sudden burst pipes are the most common failures.
When we repipe your Fullerton home, we replace all Type M copper with either PEX-A (our primary recommendation) or Type L copper — never Type M.
Orange County homes vary from 1950s ranch-style to newer master-planned community builds. Larger homes and two-story layouts increase cost.
All prices include permits, patching, cleanup, and a lifetime workmanship warranty.
